I think all you need to do is open up port 1433 to the SQL server.

    Hello, Thanks for responding,

I opened 5800 but still cannot connect remotely. I also look at MKBA-287932 which said I need ports 1433 - 5000. Now I am getting a timeout expired error almost immediately.

One article (I've read so many I cant find it now) said I need ports 1024 - 65535 open so I put them as secondary connections and I still cannot get through. I have these ports open of BOTH ISA servers. The one I go out of and the one I have to come into. Nothing seems to work.

    Any other suggestions???
