Unanswered: Attaching a file on a form

User needs to be able to attach a word file on a form so that it can later be viewed by others by clicking on the icon/button. Does anyone know if this is possible in Access?

    Kakha, thanks for your response.
    use
Insert -> Object -> Microsoft Word Document
Not exactly what I'm looking for. I'm envisioning an icon the user clicks on which pops up an 'attach file' prompt, then the user attaches the LINK to the word document that they want associated with that record. The word document should not be on the form itself but just the link to it, so that when the user clicks on it, the attached document opens up IN WORD and NOT on the form itself.

I don't know. Maybe I'm asking for too much But it would be great to be able to do this, don't you think?

I'm not familiar with OLE programming, can you tell me more about it?

    Question:
When using a common dialog control to 'save file as', is there a way to capture the file name the user entered for that file into a string variable so that I can use it for an 'Open' command later on.
