    Unanswered: create trigger (simple question)

    Hi,

I'm getting this error when I try to use "inserted" table in my create trigger call.

    ---------------------------
    Microsoft Development Environment
    ---------------------------
ADO error: The column prefix 'inserted' does not match with a table name or alias name used in the query.

    Could you please, help me?

Post your code. I think you omitted a decimal point between your table name and your column in one of your references

    "select inserted yourcolumn from inserted"

...makes SQL server think you are refering to a column named "inserted" that you want to alias as "yourcolumn".

    "where inserted yourcolumn = someothervalue"

    ...will also generate this error.
If it's not practically useful, then it's practically useless.
