Unanswered: Unlink Access table from Excel file

I have a table created in an Access. It is part of an Access database. The table is linked to an Excel file of the same name. When I open Access, and open the database, I see an Excel icon with a black arrow beside it. I want to remove this link. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks. --Kes

Select it in Access and press Delete. It sounds like a linked table, and deleting it will not affect the actual Excel file.

Thank you, but it's the Access table I want to preserve. I want to detach it from the Excel file and make it an unlinked Access table again. Do you happen to know how to undo a link?

The way it sounds, the Access table is actually linked to an Excel file. Not the other way around.

You can import the data directly from the Excel file (File, import,....etc)
