    Unanswered: OEM snmp traps

hi has anyone out there worked on sending snmp traps to openview from user defined SQL jobs ?
I think this requires modifying MIBs

Yes, but I don't understand your means.
You want to send an email in pl/sql through a snmp server, aren't you?
Or you just want to handshake with the snmp sever in pl/sql?

what I am doing here is sending SNMP traps through OEM (option in OEM events) . The job is a simple PL/SQL triggering an event based on some threshhold. now the snmp trap is generated and captured by HPopenview but openview is onlly seeing the event threshold value and not the name, so I cant tell which event is being reported.
I undertand that oemtraps.v1 is the MIB file handling the OEM traps but Idont know how or whether I should be modifying it .

    thanks for your help
