Unanswered: SQL Server 2000 installation problem

I am trying to install SQL Server 2000 on a new Windows 2003 server. I stopped the IIS and tried installing from two different CDs. In both cases I got the following error right at the start of the installation -

    --------------------------------------------------------------

    E:\MSSQL\x86\setup\setupsql.exe

Windows cannot open this program since it has been disbaled.

    --------------------------------------------------------------

Any help that can solve this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Win2k3 has some wicked security settings that might cause you some problems. Can't tell you what this exact problems is caused by but I'm quite sure you have to enable something to make it work (hence the errormessage, sorry for hmm..pointing that out). I struggeled for "ages" trying to get IIS to work until I found out that I actually had to enable the damn thing before I could use it. This really didn't help alot did it...? Oh well...it's almost weekend...
