Unanswered: Importing data into an existing table

I'm trying to import data into an existing table so I highlight the table, click on File and drop down to Get External Data and go through the wizard screens.... I cannot import into an existing table as this option is greyed out....

can anyone tell me how to import into an existing table from an Excel spreadsheet.

    Many thanks

You'll probably want to do this in a 2 part process:

    1. Either link the Excel sheet or import it as a new table.

    2. Create an "Update Query" (Check out Access's help files if you need help with this) To update from your Excel table to your existing table.
