    Unanswered: assign null to a variable?

    hi guys may i ask can i assign null value to a variable? can it be done? if yes, how? or any reference? thanks.

    PL/SQL:

    var Number(x) := null;
    Bessie Braddock: Winston, you are drunk!

    sorry, but i dun quite get it. my example is this:
    ID varchar2(32);

    now ID is null.
    then i assigned ID:= '123';
    then now i want to assign ID back to null.
    I've tried ID := NULL; but cannot. please help.

    copy(null, 'variable_name');

    Declare
    ID varchar2(10):=Null;
    Begin
    If ID is Null Then
    ID:='123';
    -------
    -------
    -------
    ID:=NULL;
    End If;
    End;
