    exmaple from MSDN

    Dim FileNum as Integer
    ' Get file number.
    FileNum = FreeFile
    ' Open file to be saved.
    Open "TEST.OLE" For Binary As #FileNum
    ' Save the file.
    oleObj1.SaveToFile FileNum
    ' Close the file.
    Close #FileNum

    Hi...I am somewhat avg with vba, but can usually work it out. In keeping with this thread...

    I just "inherited" a mess of a database. Fairly simple tables and forms...EXCEPT that the database tables contain almost 1500 pictures...

    These pictures have bloated the database to amost 1.7Gigs...Yes, gigs...compacted...

    Is it possible to do a bulk export of these images to a folder and OLE link them back to the database?

    Any other suggestions?

    The client has access to Access 2K, XP, 2003...

    Thanks.
