    Unanswered: About zero's

I want to create field like this "V000001", I use query based on a table where first field is set to "V" by default and second is autonumber where format is set to "000000". But in my query zero's is mising and result is like this "V1". Where is my mistake?

If you just want to display or print it on the report use

=\V000000 as the format of the field
{this will display as V000023} if the value in the field is even 23 or 023 or 00023

if you actually want to save the value as displayed

fieldname = "V" & format(fieldname, "000000") in the after update event of the field (in that case the field should be a text field)
