    Unanswered: Oracle Courses in India

Does anyone know a URL for an Indian company specialising in teaching Oracle to OCA / OCP standard?

    Thank you

I believe in self learning. Invest some money in the books and learn by your own.

Chill out there killer - He said "I believe" - hence this is his opinion. I too believe that you can learn a lot on your own through trial and error as well.

Telling people they are idiots certainly is not going to get them to help you.

You know what I bet you cannot be a DBA no matter how hard you work for that and the reason is your temper.

    whaooo...

the guy asks if anyone knows where he can do an OCP course in india, he gets everything but an answer. instead he gets, what could easily be construed as pompous 'god helps those who help themselves' throwbacks, and that comment coming from a guy who's sigature reads:

    MS Computer Science
    OCP DBA 9i/8i

why did he bother going to university to obtain a masters, why is he so ready to show it off, and why bother doing OCP? and then theres the 'zenith' all seeing eye picture... i mean really, and whats with the comment about his temper... just because you're all doped up on endorphins or whatever relaxation aids you take... i'm rambling, basically what's with the air of superiority?

I know loads of guys who work as oracle experts do not have reams of abbreviations after their name, but in these times, it can be very very difficult to get a foot in without the certification or qualification.

in the UK, they are even going so far as to expect degrees from 'red brick' universities. So easy on the bloke who shot his mouth off, simple questions deserve simple answers, not holier than thou silver mountained guru bollox, whatever works for you, if he wants a course, let him have one, if you want to teach yourself, keep it to yourlself. He asked for a url, not an opinion.

    BTW http://education.oracle.com/web_prod...080544&lang=US

is where youn can study in india - india is massive on Oracle, all out contract developers are indian, and some of them are pretty good.

and next time manClarky, steady on or these guys won't help you...

    peace and love ;)

    Hi Ghostman,

    Thanks for your reply.

In the Masters Course here in USA, no professor will teach you anything. You have to work hard by your own. They guide you what to study not explain you about solutions. Thant way they make you work hard by your own. And thats what i like most about study in USA.

I studied and passed for OCP DBA by my own. No one guided me. I bought books, computers and study at home. I have about 56 books of Oracle and 3 m/c. I believe in self-learning.

And that is why education-wise, USA stands No. 1. Here no one preffers private classes (tutions classes) like other countries do. Every body studies by their own.

Evernthough I did my bachelor in India, I preffer USA education style.

    Hi there Hings,

Respect to you mate! i too am self taught, and i agree that you can take a donkey to the water, but you can't make him drink.

I'll tell you this though, i'd love to do a few Oracle courses - to sit and get it from a pro - what a pleasure! Could save a lot of time and hair ripping... ;)
