    Do you mean something like this...


    Select col1 as ' ' , col2 as ' '
    from mytable


    ???

    I believe what Brett meant by "Come again?" was "I don't know what the #$%&^@ you are talking about because you select columns not column names but if you would please explain a little more clearly what you are trying to do the answer will be either simple or impossible and we will let you know but we don't want to spend a lot of time guessing what you want."

    And you won't let your kids visit the site because of me....



    The only way I know is to say SELECT *....but that's all of the columns and not a good practice in code...

    What are you trying to accomplish...because THAT would be a good story....

    Select * from tablename

    Will select ALL the columns from a table without naming them, is this what you're getting at?

    I suspect the point is moot now however as the homework most likely needs to be turned in today
