    Unanswered: Simple Addition

    Hi All,

I am new to Access and this might seem really simple, but I am having problems performing an addition expression.

I have a form with 2 textbox fields (Qty, Price) and 1 (total). i.e

    Qty Price
    Liquor
    Beer
    Wine

    Total

I want the Qty field to multiple any quantity entered on the Qty form with a price on the price field. And the total summed up in the Total textbox. I have tried using:

    Amount: CCur(Sum([LiquorSold]+[BeerSold]+[WineSold]))

    With errors.

    I'll appreciate all inputs.

    Thanks,

If you already have the amounts for each of the quantities multiplied by the prices can't you just add them up to get the total?

    CCur(LiquorSold + BeerSold + WineSold)?

I may be misunderstanding your simple question but that was my initial impression.

    That makes sense. Thank you.
