Hows it going?

I have managed to get an image up into a blob by creating the table:

create table imagetest(
imageid number(1),
image blob);

and then inserting as follows:

insert into imagetest(imageid, image) values ('1', empty_blob());

Then using the PL/SQL code:

DECLARE
imgdb BLOB;
imgfile BFILE;
BEGIN
SELECT image INTO imgdb FROM imagetest WHERE product_id
= '1' FOR UPDATE;
imgfile := bfilename( 'IMAGES', '1743.gif' );
dbms_lob.fileopen(imgfile, dbms_lob.file_readonly);
dbms_lob.loadfromfile(imgdb, imgfile,dbms_lob.getlength(imgfile),1,1);
dbms_lob.filecloseall();
COMMIT;
EXCEPTION
WHEN OTHERS THEN
RAISE;
END;
/

Naturally, I have already created the directory IMAGES and granted necessary rights on it.

THE PROBLEM!!!!!

I am writing a VB application for a project and have the task of retrieving images in VB from the BLOB and then diplaying them in a picture box... I would appreciate if anybody could help me out with this as my continuing the degree depends on my completing this!!!

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer....
