Our office upgraded to office XP about a year ago and all systems were identical, Hp desktops, Xp and office versions. Everything worked well. Some clutz in management decided to to provide the management teams with new machines, the IBM t-40 and thats were the problem began.
The T-40's can view pivot charts created using Access and saved on the HP's, no problem, but the properties icon is disabled so the chart is viewed in the final saved view. Tables & queries can be created on the T-40's but pivot chart remains unusable. This problem does not occur on T-30's.
All versions of the software are the same, all patches applied, for all intents, identical systems (HP & IBM).
Our It dept has given up after ~3 months and said it aint their problem.
