    Unanswered: system table map

I want to query system objects to return info. about my user objects.
In SQL Server I use the system tables. I think you use views in Oracle.

I wrote this query: (but it is not a system TABLE)
    SELECT tabname,colname
    FROM SYSCAT.COLUMNS
    WHERE TABSCHEMA ='my_user_schema' and
    colname like '%_CD'

Is there a graphical ER diagram of these system objects on the web?

    Try this site:

    http://www.quest.com/requests/?RequestDefID=1387

It is to download a poster of the system catalogs.

    no map

This is a useful tool to work with the system objects but I don't see a map.

BMC publishes a ER diagram poster for the mainframe DB2 catalog, so you might check with them to see if they have on for DB2 LUW. You might have to contact a sales rep.

BMC does have one for UDB LUW, I have one on my wall.
I have not been able to find one yet on the web.

Red face DB2 has different system tables depending on the operating system?

Great maps. My only experience with Unix is Solaris. I take it from the different maps that these are different flavors of UNIX and DB2 has different system tables depending on the operating system?

    Forgive my ignorance.

The system tables are the same across all Unix platforms
