Smile Unanswered: How to populate null values in a field with the data from the previous record.

I've been struggling with this issue for quite a while. Please hlp!

I have a flat file which is imported into Excel for clean-up then the file is imported into MS Access. Field 1 contains the ID#, if the ID# has more than one entry the ID# will not print, the field will contain a null value. I need a code or expression that will automatically populate the null field with data from the previous record. I hope this is enough detail - A sample is attached. (solution in excel is welcome also)
