The field do not have a source attached with it.
Go to the property palette of the field and Under "Field" there will be an option source.Choose the correct option accordingly.

    Angry

Cause: The source column for the field is in a group below that of the repeating frame which encloses it.
Action: Move the field into a repeating frame whose source group is at or above the group that contains the field's source column. Otherwise, move the field's source column into the enclosing repeating frame's group, if possible.

when i press the help button the above statements are shown

thanks mr. vijay for being supportive...

yes i got the problem resolved as i changed the sources' group to the o
ne from which the frame (on which fields are pasted) belongs to but another problem is
"REP-1216 f-7 has an illegal print condition"

where f_7 is a field name.

Check for the options in Advanced layout.
Go back to default options. The default options are
    1) Print Object On --All Pages
2)Base Printing on -- Enclosing Objects
    3)Keep with anchoring object --No
All the other values are blank

    help displays-

Cause: You set an invalid Print Condition for the specified object. For example, you might have tried to set the Print Condition of a margin object.
Action: Change the Print Condition of the object to another, valid setting.

but i dont know how to set print conditions and margines
