    Unanswered: two ASE database servers within one machine?

    Hi, everyone,

    Can I create two database servers within one machine? My database server is ASE12.5 and Sun2.8.

    yes you can two different sybaseengines running on the same unix machine

    No, but no need. You only need to execute srvbuild and provide different device names to the 2nd one.

    Ah ! after this installation, $DSQUERY will point in the last server. I really recommend you to pass the optional parameter of the server name in each of your scripts
