    Smile Unanswered: Select statement insists I use "Case"

    Hello.....I'm the new kid on the block using Access. I have Access 2002. When trying to type in a Select statement, it gives me an error saying it's missing "Case". Is this because of how Access as originally setup when the software was loaded? Is there a work around for this?
    Advanced appreciation of any help. Thanks.

    Select is usually followed by 'case'

    I don't know what you are trying to do, but here is a quick snippit taken from my dbase;

    I have removed all the extra junk !! So I have typed 'do something'

    This code was used when a command button was pressed. Frame had a few options in it, each was given a value 1-3

    Hope this helps..Let me know otherwise

    Select Case Me.Flight_Frame

    Case 1
    ...do something
    Case 2
    ...do something completely different
    Case 3
    ...dobee do.....
    Case Else
    ...run out of options so what was pressed?
    End Select
