Unanswered: Chinese characters from SQL to DB2

    Hi,

I am having an SQL database which has tables having chinese characters.
I need to create all the tables in DB2 (ver 8.0) and transport the data from sql to DB2.
In what all ways can I achive this.

I tried exporting data directly from sql to db2. But it throws with an incompatible driver error while copying the data. Table creation seems to be working fine.

    Pls help

    CharacterSet

    Hi,

I think this is something to do with character set and the way it is stored perhaps double byte format.

Try creating a database which uses the relevant characterset for chinese characters and then try the operation, hope that should work.

    Cheers

    Nitin.

    Hello Nitin,

    Thanks for replying..
I realised that exporting ascii data itself is failing.
I created a table with a test column containing numeric data
When I try to export this from the enterprise manager to db2, I get DRIVER NOT CAPABLE error.
