    Operating System

    Hi,

The basic difference is the operating system and probably the hardware on which these operating systems run.

The db2 software remains the same. This attachment will give you some more clearity in that regard.

    Hi,

IBM has 4 Server Production lines:

    1. zSeries which is the IBM mainframes servers

    2. iSeries which is IBM AS/400 servers

    3. pSeries which is RS/6000 servers

    4. xSeries which is Intel Based Servers

Linux now can run on almost all IBM servers
