    Hi all ,
    I am new in db2. How can set user quota in db2 like oracle??

    Hi,

    I am sorry that cannot be done.

    Oracle does not mandate that a database user that is created be a part of the operating system however db2 does mandate that so to me i have not seen the concept of a quota in db2 and i don't think it exists.

    Can i set the user quota in OS(e.g. linux) such to control the user space in db2(e.g create table)??

    Hi,

    From what i can suggest is that give rights only to that tablespace where you want the user to create tables. That will do the needful.

    There is a concept of ulimit (os level in aix) but that is global and not to a specific user.

    Guess some senior member working on linux will be able to guide better.
