    Unanswered: Oracle on localhost

I have loaded Oracle 9i on my PC, mainly to teach myself PL\SQL, SLQ and to develop my Java JDBC skills. I have also down loaded Apache Tomcat webserver version 5. The problem is that I can not run the Apache webserver as the Oracle 9i server has Established itself on localhost.

I have tried to stop TNSLSNR.exe in the Window Task Manager but I get the message Access is denied.

I would welcome any work around suggestions as i want to use the Apache webserver to develop my javea applications and using Oracle just as a database to connect to. The Oracle server just contains links and pages about the power of the Server no usable components.

Another question is when i start up my PC as well as the TNSLSNR.exe , I also get three Oracle.exe starting up, anyone got any idae why.

    Thanks Tony

I have used the Oracle Http Server Stop HTTP Server command to halt the server, but still cant get Tomcat to run so it may be a tomcat problem.
