    Unanswered: inserting a comma

when I query a number on a form I can get it formated into a number that includes a comma but when I merge it with word, the comma is not included.

Example. The field in the form shows the number as 12,234 but when I merge the query with word the number shows as 12234. If you have any clue how to make the number carry the comma to work I would be greatful.

    Thanks

What do you mean in "merge with word" - ading string?
    use Format functiuon -
Format([your field name], "#,###") & "your string text"
MDB, ADP <-> MS SQL + VBA, ADO & RDO, .NET, Oracle, Java/Jsp.

When the user types in a number, the form converts 12345 into 12,345. I do this by setting the format to standard number. My problem is when I merge the result with microsoft word that value that is given in the merge document is 12345. The correct format doesn't carry over when I merge.
