    alter table tableA
    add [column] columnA varchar(10)

    alter table tableA
    drop [column] columnA;
    Bessie Braddock: Winston, you are drunk!
    Churchill: And Madam, you are ugly. And tomorrow, I'll be sober, and you will still be ugly.

    Hi,

    I dont understand R123456, 'alter' isnt a recognised word in Access. Not that I know of, but then I'm no great programmer..

    You'd need to be a bit more specific for me to help.

    Is it a table you are trying to add/remove a field to ? or a query ?

    I know you typed 'amending queries' but does the table already hold the field you want to use ?
