    Unanswered: Why can't I size my custom dialog box?

    Hi,
    I've created a custom dialog box, but have a problem with it that is driving me crazy, the answer must be simple, but I can't find so obviously I am

    In view mode the custom dialog box appears on the screen where I want it to but it does not display as the correct size.
    How do I size the form to display as I want it to (about 1/3 screen size)

    Regards
    John

    Hi,

    Under your form properties, you should have Auto Resize, Auto Center Pop up and Border Style.

    I have had a similar incident recently.

    However, to solve this I did:

    Auto resize Yes
    Auto center Yes
    Pop up Yes
    Border size Sizeable

    Then I manually set the size of the form when it opened, then shut it down

    Then changed the settings to

    Auto resize Yes
    Auto center Yes
    Pop up Yes
    Border size Dialog

    Does that help ?

    It seemed a very wierd way of doing it, but solved my problem..

    ...or you might try something like this in the form resize event:

    Private Sub Form_Resize()
    ' Comments :
    ' Parameters : -
    ' Returns : -
    ' Created :
    ' Modified :
    '
    ' --------------------------------------------------------
    '----------------------------------------
    On Error GoTo Form_Resize_Err
    '----------------------------------------
    Me.InsideWidth = 1440 * 6.55
    Me.InsideHeight = 1440 * 4.55
    Form_Resize_Exit:
    Exit Sub
    ....
    rtk
