    Unanswered: Binding Controls URGENT

    Hello everybody,

    I have been tring to find a solution to a problem for 2 days now, basically it comes down to this:

    I want to bind a textbox on as form to an ADO recordset from a third-party control and NOT the Forms recordset and I don't want to use the Microsoft ADO Data Control

    Any suggestions?

    Just set the control source to a string for the field you want it to be.

    I just bound one the way you described by saying

    Me.txtName.ControlSource = "EmpLName"

    I got the same as you when I tried to bind it to a recordset field
    (rs.Fields("Name") so I tried this and it worked.

    Worked great.

    Thank you for your help, but the technique you mention binds it to the Forms recordset, I have a seperate ADO recordset that I want bound. Any ideas?
