    Question Unanswered: onChange (I think)

    I have a database with two drop down menus. One is called Issue, and the other Sub Issue. Right now I have linked them numerically so that the drop down menu of Sub Issues will change according to which Issue is chosen. The only problem is that you only get one chance to pick the issue which then designated the sub issue. If I try to go back and change the issue, the subissue list stays the same.

    This is the code in the Sub Issue Row Source: SELECT SubIssues.SubIssue FROM Issue INNER JOIN SubIssues ON Issue.IssueID=SubIssues.IssueID WHERE (((Issue.Issue)=Forms![comment database]!IssueValue));

    and this is the code from the Issue Row Source: SELECT Issue.Issue FROM Issue ORDER BY Issue.Issue;

    Thanks in advance for your help!!

    Try AfterUpdate of Issue or GotFocus of SubIssue.

    For Example,

    Private Sub IssueValue_AfterUpdate()
    Me.SubIssueValue.RowSource = "SELECT SubIssues.SubIssue FROM Issue INNER JOIN SubIssues ON Issue.IssueID=SubIssues.IssueID WHERE (((Issue.Issue)='" & me.IssueValue & "'));"
    Me.SubIssueValue.Requery
    End Sub
