Unanswered: VBA - Updating 1st form on 2nd form entry

I have one form with Cow records, (yes I know...Redneck..) Anyway, if there is a need to enter a new cow, I have a command button that can be clicked to open a 2nd form to enter her ID and Birthdate, for example. The 1st main form stays open during this time. When I close the second form and search the main form for her record, it is nowhere to be found. Obviously I can exit the first form and re open it back up and she will be there, but this gets to be a major pain when I have many new cows to enter.

Is there any way to requery the 1st form's query that it is coming from? What is the best way to do this?

    I would appreciate some input.

    Thanks,

    David

on second form close event requery the first form.
    forms!frmFirstForm.requery

this will work as long as you do not need to stay in a specific record in the first form. That take a little more coding to do.
