    Unanswered: Subreports

    Hi,

The following problem relates to an Access 2000 database.

I have one table - INVOICES

From an unbound form, the user enters a date in the textbox. When they click the "RUN" button, Access is supposed to open a report which is basically an Accounts Receivable Report... something like:

    "Dear xxx,

    Invoices due for payment
    -----------------------------
    <results of query A>

    Invoices overdue
    --------------------
    <results of query B>"

query A : SELECT * FROM INVOICES WHERE DUEDATE = txtDate
query B : SELECT * FROM INVOICES WHERE DUEDATE < txtDate

Both Queries are extracting the correct data
The report of Query A grouped by Customer Name is running perfectly.
    Query B is running perfectly
The report of Query A grouped by Customer Name with Query B as a subreport in the CustomerName footer is prompting me for [CustomerName] with every new CustomerName record of the report.

It appears that the report is not finding the link between the report and the subreport because if I manually type in the CustomerName, then the relevant data appears. (If I type in another customername which appears in QueryB, then this data appears).

    Please help!

    Thanks

    Rael

    try the CDate function:

    query B : SELECT * FROM INVOICES WHERE DUEDATE < CDate(txtDate)

The date part of it is not a problem. The only problem seems to be occuring with the link between the Report and SubReport.

The report has the CustomerName field as the primary grouping field.
The subreport is generated from a query which has the same CustomerName field, although it does not appear as a control on the subreport. I have tried to insert it as a control, but it makes no difference to the report problem.
