Unanswered: Export table/query to excel without saving excel file

    hi all

i am trying to export a table/query via vba from access 2000 to excel. i know the ways with docmd.OutputTo or docmd.TransferSpreadsheet, but they both require a filename. if i don't specify a filename, access asks me for a filename. but what i want is just copy - paste from access into excel for a temp viewing (as it can manually be done with "tools -> office links -> analyze it with ms excel") without saving the excel file.

    any ideas? like copy paste?

    thanks a lot in advance!

    Try the following link:

    http://tinyurl.com/2bjek

then @ then end instead of doing the save stuff,
    use xlObject.Visible = True
All code ADO/ADOX unless otherwise specified.
