    Unanswered: RAIC Question

I know how to set up a RAIC for web use, but how does it work for connecting directly through filemaker?

FileMaker RIACs allow multiple FileMaker Unlimited Clients to be connected to a single FileMaker server. If you tried to share with the Unlimited machines you would not do anything but add extra steps to getting to the data, not to mention FileMaker Pro don't even give you this option.

If you need more FM Server performance look at FMP 7- mjor upgrade in the server department. You may also think of utilizing a My SQL or PostgreSQL database and syncing between the two manually or automaitically with a product from Stravinsoft.

    thanks,

    Joe
