    Unanswered: Can I not use count like this??

    I am getting a

    ORA-00904: "A"."COUNT": invalid identifier

    the SQL that I am running is:

    select a.txnumber, b.description, b.feature, a.count(txnumber) from txn_hist a, transactions b where a.txnumber = b.txnumber and a.customertype = 'GTM' and a.txtimestamp > '31-DEC-2003' an
    d a.txtimestamp > '31-DEC-2003' and a.txtimestamp <= '31-JAN-2004';

    Can anyone tell me what's wrong?

    It should be count(a.txnumber) or even just count(*)
