    Unanswered: Instance Crashes while creating event monitor

    Hi All,

    DB2 8.1 has a feature where one can store the event monitor data into tables.

    My question is that is there any specific configuration has to be done for that, as whenever I am trying for that my Instance get crashes.

    Can anyone point me where I am wrong ?

    The command which I am giving is

    CREATE EVENT MONITOR FOO FOR STATEMENTS WRITE TO TABLE

    and this command is crashing the Instance.

    Appreicating your quick response.

    I am on DB2 8.1 FP4 on W2K.

    Regards,
    Pushp

    Ideas.

    Hi Pushp,

    Increase the following parameters
    agent_stack_size, query_heap_sz, stmt_heap_sz. This will ensure that the instance will not crash.

    CONNECT TO SAMPLE;
    CREATE EVENT MONITOR EVEN12 FOR STATEMENTS WRITE TO TABLE BUFFERSIZE 4 BLOCKED MANUALSTART ;
    CONNECT RESET;
