I am attempting to move data from a flat file created from bcp'ing out data from a SQL 2000 Server into Oracle 9i using SQL Loader. I am having problems with fields that are ntext in SQL Server going into fields that are long in Oracle. I get the following error every time: "Record 1: Rejected - Error on table TESTTABLE, column "ELA_LONG".
Variable length field exceeds maximum length."

I am using the following control file:

UNRECOVERABLE
LOAD DATA
INFILE 'c:\dbsictmp\sqltooraconvert\working\D7I_108_r5ele carchive.BCP'
BADFILE 'c:\dbsictmp\sqltooraconvert\working\logs\bad\D7I_ 108_r5elecarchive.BAD'
TRUNCATE
INTO TABLE R5ELECARCHIVE
FIELDS TERMINATED BY '*#*'
TRAILING NULLCOLS
(

"ELA_CODE" CHAR NULLIF("ELA_CODE"=BLANKS),
"ELA_USER" CHAR NULLIF("ELA_USER"=BLANKS),
"ELA_LONG" LONG VARRAW NULLIF "ELA_LONG"=BLANKS))

Any ideas?
