    From what I have read, blobs for images are supposed to be less efficient than simply recording the file location off of a file server somewhere. I understand that everything has it's purpose but from a speed standpoint it may be good to consider this.

    I do agree with u, it is not recommended storing images in databases, instead store a pointer to the image in the database, there are many valid reasons for it , u can find some of them here:
