    Unanswered: Fields in Access

    Hi
I have a table in Access with 98 fields in it. I read in the help that the maximum fields can be 255 but I am still not able to save the table if I add one more field in the table.

    Could anybody please reason this.

    Thanks
    Kajal

What you will probably have to do is to make a copy of the table, only copy the structure and not the data. Then add the field to the copy of the table. Then make an append query to copy the contents of the original table to the copy with the new field. With very large tables, this is the only way I have figured out how to add fields or indexes.
