    Unanswered: sql error -911

    Hi,

I have a C process which loads millions of records from files. There are different kind of records like A, B, C which get loaded into database. I have a commit for every 5000 records. REcently I have been getting
some -911 error codes when loading C type records during which time I am missing records for A and B. WHen we get this error will the whole unit of work gets rolled back causing the other types to miss or just this one C record will fail.

    thanks

Not sure that I completely understand, but all inserts, updates, and deletes for that program will be rolled back to the last successful commit point, if a rollback occurs. In some programs it is possible to trap the -911 and not do a rollback, if you so desire.
