    Question Unanswered: 2 problems after re-installation problem

    I had a machine with SQL server, but something went wrong with the Windows there and I had to reinstall it. After that I am trying to install SQL Server 2000 again, but I can't. In the last step "installing the chosen configuration" I receive error :

    "Setup failed to configure the server. Refer to server error logs and
    C:\winnt\sqlstp.log for more information"

    {-------------------------------------------------}

    Here is ERRORLOG:

    I got to do this today...

    Did you unistall and reinstall?

    And what's with the colllation you selected?

    What specific SQL Server version did you install?

    Did you flush the box entirely?

    As I said the Windows was reinstalled. I just cleared the SQL Server folder - delete everything from there and TRIED to install it on the new Windows

    Collation : Cyrillic_General

    SQL Server 2000 Developer Edition

    P.S. I couldn't solve the problem, and I installed MSDE 2000 instead - it is working now...
