    Unanswered: New Doc

    trying to open a new pdf doc in acrobat;

    Set AcroExchApp = CreateObject("AcroExch.App")
    Set AcroExchAVDoc = CreateObject("AcroExch.AVDoc")

    OK = AcroExchAVDoc.Open("Q:\a.pdf", "Hello")

    however, everytime i run this function, it does not open the a.pdf in a new window; keeps on opening over the previous a.pdf window,

    how would i make it so that it opens in a new window even though its the same filename?

    I tried to figure it out, but unfortunately I was not able to use the AcroExch.App.
    Do I need a certain reference?

    this is the actual code:

    Dim AcroExchAVDoc As CAcroAVDoc
    Dim AcroExchApp As CAcroApp
    Dim AFormAut As AFORMAUTLib.AFormApp
    Dim Field As AFORMAUTLib.Field
    Dim Fields As AFORMAUTLib.Fields
    Dim OK as boolean

    Set AcroExchApp = CreateObject("AcroExch.App")
    Set AcroExchAVDoc = CreateObject("AcroExch.AVDoc")

    OK = AcroExchAVDoc.Open("Q:\Jerry Johns\a.pdf", "hello")

    I installed Acrobat 5, but it seems not sufficient because I don't have any AFORMAUTLib.
    So I think I will not be able to help you any further.
    Sorry.

    But isn't it possible you have tu use the New-keyword to initiate a new instance of the reader or the document?
