Cool Unanswered: How To Make A Field Unique

Hello people, I am new here.
I am doing a placement in one company. I am studying computer science, this is my final year.

Here it is a easy question for you.
I want to do a field with the unique restriction in Access 2000, but I don't find how to do it. Is it possible? I was looking in forums, books and so on. But I don't find anything, is this so strange? It is just a normal property!

    Any suggestions?

    Thanx a lot.

Re: How To Make A Field Unique

    hi,

do you want not to allow in a table same values in a specific column? if yes, just go into the design view of the table. then select the column you want a unique restriction. choose at the bottom of the design view "indexed: Yes (No duplicates)". hope that was what you were looking for.

    cheers,
    sphere

Thanx a lot, now I can go on with my project.

I haven't thought do it like that. By means of the indexes. It is not the exactly right thing, I don't need the index. But I think it is enough to work. It will work. Thanx.
