    well this is what I need. I have a sheet that has about 50000 rows in it and I need to verify if that information is the same on another sheet with about 5000 rows. Both tables contain the same unique identifier so I should be able to compare the two with the vlookup function. My plan was to paste the 5000 unique numbers in a spreadsheet and look up the values that are associated with that number on the sheet with 50000 rows. First do you think that is the best way to do or not. Second. I need help writing out the function i.e. =vlookup(.................)

    Thanks

    Just vlookup the value in the table. Use iserror to check if it is in the table:

    if (iserror(vlookup(...)),"Not in list,"In list")

    So i copy and pasted the 5000 unique numbers from the spreadsheet that has 5000 rows into colum A. I need to bring back 4 colums form the spreadsheet with 50000 rows. Those colums are i labeled B (which is the unique number) J and K. So i guess I need help writing a vlookup function so I can compare those.
