What I have been trying to do is it produce a field at the bottom in the footer which adds all the totals of the records into this field.

i,e in which record there is a total (x.xx) so I what to see the sum of all the totals)

I have tried various difernt ways but it just wont do it

    Its something simple I know

Use a "Summary" field and place it in the footer of your layout

Asummary field will work in many cases as mentioned from the other poster. There is also a more advanced method using the SUM calculation. The only catch is that you will need to create a realtionship to make the SUM calc work.

If you need help with this, let me know...
