    Unanswered: ranges in like condition

    Hello,

I have the next few records in my database. Remember this is just an example. In reality there are thousands of records.
    Column Vendor:
    A10
    A11
    A22
    A33
    A43

Now I want the values A22 and A33. In sybase or sqlserver i would say:
SELECT Vendor FROM x WHERE Vendor LIKE 'A[2-3]_'

The range function is not available under oracle. does anyone know how to do this in somewhat the same way?

10G supports regular expressions, when you eventually upgrade to it! In the meantime you would have to "roll your own".
