Unanswered: Output a Packed Decimal to a text file

I have an stored procedure/DTS package that creates an output file that I FTP to a mainframe.

The vendor that is receiving the file expects negative amounts to be in a packed decimal format.

    IE. Negative 95.46 = 0000954O

I've done a bit of searching to find a function for this, but I must be using the wrong words.

    Any suggestions?

I've actually have had my fill with 3rd party vendors....

    I'm in the wrong business...

OK, to do what you're asking (And I have NO idea if the ASCII EBCIDIC Conversion will screw it up) you need to pack it your self, and find the cooresponding values and use ASCII...

Better off telling them to handle display numerics...

    This going to DB2 OS/390?

If so, all they need is a load card with DECIMAL EXTERNAL clause...

It's a Great Day for America everybody!
