    Unanswered: Ways of connecting to remote databases

    Hi everyone.

    I need to know which are the best ways to connect to a remote SQL SERVER 2000 from inside a VB6 application. By remote I mean on a dedicated server outside my LAN that I can access by IP address.

    Any opinion would be appreciated.

    You cannot do this using NT Authentication because the remote machine will not be on the same Domain.

    Use a connection string like this:
    "Provider=SQLOLEDB.1;Integrated Security=SSPI;Persist Security Info=False;Initial Catalog=YourDataBase;Data Source=YourServer"

    KBA - http://support.microsoft.com/default...NoWebContent=1 to connect SQL using VB.
