I have a VB6 application that takes data from a MySQL table and uploads it to a datagrid. I have a column in my SQL table that is of timestamp. My problem is this. When the SQL field is set to timestamp and I click to return the data to the datagrid, I get no results. When I set the SQL field to something else other than timestamp the results are returned to the datagrid. Also, when I set the field to datetime, I get nothing returned. Has someone seen this before, and if so, what can be done?
I have seen this before where I work, though I have merely band-aided my way through it. You can either convert the date to char (best if not in need of hh:mm:ss) otherwise, I have found it best to either query on a >, < or between for the date. (note not using >= or <=, this will leave you with > or < but not provide the = information)
