I'm new to Oracle and have been looking into a scheme for a custom Document Management system utilizing either BFile or Blob data types to hold documents stored by the user. One of the system requirements is to provide access to the same document repeatedly by different users. This got me wondering about Oracle caching - Assuming that we chose to use BFile or Blobs to store documents in the system, how can we ensure that the Oracle cache system is most efficiently tuned to accomodate the potentially large nature of binary documents, say MSWord or image files? Is this a valid question to ask?? more thoughts?
