    Unanswered: SQL Server Reports

Under design table of SQL Server there is a tab that will allow you to comment each column and it's purpose. I want to run a report that will show all my comments. Any ideas? I couldn't seem to find anything in these VOLUMES of SQL Server books I have.

I don't think you can - at least not with the native SQL software. I've got the same problem here.....

    FOUND IT!

EXEC sp_addextendedproperty 'caption', 'Employee Name', 'user', dbo, 'table', 'T1', 'column', name

    SELECT *
FROM ::fn_listextendedproperty (NULL, 'user', 'dbo', 'table', 'T1', 'column', default)

The first statement adds a description to a column of table T1. The second statement grabs all the descriptions from table T1. Look in the Help index for the function/stored procedure for the official signature and definition

Excellent - thank you for helping me out, even though I was trying to help you!
